For over fifteen years Rosemary Nelson and Barbara Marang, two of Family Worship Center’s finest, have served as missionaries in the country of Honduras. Through the many hardships of Honduras, from being the second poorest nation in the western hemisphere, to the fury of Hurricane Mitch, these devoted women have preached the Gospel. Their work has now grown to a ministry of over 2,000 people a week. The work includes nightly Bible studies throughout the city of Choluteca, food ministry to thousands weekly, assistance to widows and orphans, and the beginning of two new churches. One church being in New Choluteca, an area where thousands died during Hurricane Mitch, is now seeing explosive growth with over 400 people attending Bible study and their latest miracle, Church in the Heavens, a church plant located in the remote mountains of Honduras has begun the construction process.

Every year in the month of November a team of Family Worship Center members travels into Honduras for a one-week short-term mission’s trip. This is one of the high points of our year; every person who has taken this trip has been profoundly moved. We go as extra hands and feet for our missionaries, and participate in all ministry functions. These teams are for all ages as we have taken seniors as well as teenagers into this amazing country. Our hope is to continue to help grow the ministry in Honduras by being the USA backbone of this incredible work that Rosemary and Barbara are doing. Through financial, material, and spiritual support we are able to spread the boundaries of Family Worship Center across International lines.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
